GP Commissioners
As commissioners move closer to World Class Commissioning, the tools they use become more important. PSCAL provides over 70 Commissioners with our SLA Manager (SLAM) software to help manage their service level agreements with providers. This includes all types of agreements: Payment by Results, local tariffs, local agreements, block payments and other variants.
SLAM supports information fed from multiple sources including SUS PbR, SLAM provider models, Excel spreadsheets & Access databases, plus several other file formats.
SLAM is used for both operational management and for planning and modelling. Complex future demand models can be configured in SLAM to see the financial effect of reconfiguration of services to the Commissioner. Multiple models can be used to build many what-if scenarios.
Planned and actual reports are available to the Commissioning managers and to local GP practices to support Practice Based Commissioning. PbC reports are available as well formatted and easy to understand printed reports, or via web based reports with facilities for further interrogation and ad-hoc enquiries.
SLAM is constantly updated with the new and ever changing guidance from the DoH, NHS and the Information Centre. It is also regularly enhanced with new features identified by users and our consultants.
